Archgard's design team has developed a large, high efficiency wood insert that will convert your old, drafty, masonry built wood fireplace into a useful source of heat, using less wood, and offering improved outdoor air quality, due to lower emissions.


The unit was designed to the strict US EPA and Washington State requirements for emissions. The Chalet 1800 Wood Insert offers a large 2.5 cubic foot firebox that easily receives 18" firewood in both directions, the standard two speed 150 cfm fan helps to circulate room air past the super heated firebox to help heat a home up to 2000 sq feet.


The Chalet 1800 Insert offers a choice of two decorative surrounds to finish off most fireplace openings and your choice of black, gold, or brushed nickel doors. The firebox is brick lined, and lightweight ceramic baffles are positioned above the floor stainless-steel secondary combustion tubes. As a homeowner you will appreciate the single air control handle that regulates burn times to allow an overnight burn, and the glass will stay clean, longer due to our excellent air wash system.
